Applicants will be rated based on the criteria listed below:
Ph.D. or D.M. from an accredited institution in a discipline relevant to this U.S. Army War College Research Program i.e., Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Public Policy and Administration, or another relevant field of study, is preferred. Candidates within six months of completing a Ph.D. or D.M. may be considered. The degree should have been achieved no earlier than five years prior to the date of this announcement. Demonstrated potential for high-quality research and analysis, writing and presentation that bridges the gap between theory and practice. The selecting official will consider the scholarly merit and relevance of the candidate's written research submission (see paragraph 6 under HOW TO APPLY, below). Ability to coach graduate students in the production of innovative scholarship. Evidence of the potential to communicate effectively with diverse audiences of practitioners, graduate students, scientists and faculty from other domains of expertise. Ability to work collegially with diverse (military, civilian, international) graduate students, faculty, staff and administrators.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
