Traffic Management Specialist

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
performing Traffic Management Specialist work requiring the application of a wide range of established traffic management and transportation policies, principles, and practices involving commercial Transportation Industry Practices in the area of personal property movements and shipments including household goods (HHG)/personal property (PP) entitlement counselling; inbound and outbound shipment management, non-temporary and temporary storage,; invoice payments; and procedures for processing loss and damage claims. I have demonstrated experience implementing policies and procedures for entitlement counselling, problem resolution and quality assurance operations that maximize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction within the Household Goods/Personal Property Program. Examples of specialized experience may include the following:
1) Utilize a knowledge of traffic management policies; transportation modes, rate solicitations, and warehouse, shipment and distribution methods, to obtain economical and efficient transportation of personal property and household goods; 2) Identify and resolve entitlement and transportation service provider problems and recommend solutions that are in conformance with Transportation policies and regulations; 3) Manage outbound shipment applicant processing, entitlement briefings, reviewing member orders and related documents in order to provide HHG/PP entitlement counselling; and 4) Utilize a variety of Automated Transportation Management Information Systems such as Transportation Operational Personal Property Standard Systems (TOPS) and Defense Personal Property System (DPS) computer operations to identify needs and solve transportation management issues. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
