BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Successfully completed a bachelor's degree in operations research from an accredited college or university. OR Successfully completed a bachelor's degree and have at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics from an accredited college or university; at least 3 of the 24 semester hours MUST be in Calculus. GS-11:
In addition to the basic education requirement listed above, to qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as:
1) executing and controlling projects that represent an important segment of operating programs and/or projects; 2) completing assignments that involve initiating, applying, and planning major developmental studies; 3) providing significant and innovative recommendations for advancing programs and/or methods. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-09). GS-12:
In addition to the basic education requirement listed above, to qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as:
1) identifying, developing and integrating pertinent information through various data collection/analysis procedures and technologies; 2) anticipating major problems; 3) recognizing future needs. In addition to the basic education requirement listed above, to qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as:
1) designing and developing models and techniques to enhance performance and increase efficiency and effectiveness; 2) identify problem areas and trends to improve strategic-level wargames; 3) conducting data analysis of wargame insights and information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-12). Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
