SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience performing work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following:
(1) Utilizing knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation policies, principles and methods to plan, analyze, evaluate, or provide guidance on a wide variety of contract management issues; (2) Performing leadership functions such as assigning and reviewing work of subordinates and providing training as needed; (3) Creating and applying new policies, approaches, and procedures approaches to obstinate acquisition problems not readily susceptible to resolution by past procedures and practices; (4) Determining sources of supply with consideration to individual capacities and capabilities while analyzing proposals received from prospective contractors to provide a sound, factual basis for negotiations; (5) Conducting periodic studies and making recommendations to management relative to improved contract techniques and administrative and production lead-times. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
