00/Yearly Purpose of PositionCoordinate and manage the production planning and scheduling for the manufacture of optical systems and subsystems.
Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager and the Director of Supply Chain to make sound business decisions that positively impact the ability to meet the needs of our customers while satisfying quality, inventory, cost and delivery requirements.

Position Competency 2 - 5 years' experience planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment or contractor packaging environment.
Fluency and proficiency in the practical application of MRP logic, DRP scheduling logic, order policies, and capacity planning.
Knowledgeable in master scheduling, production planning and detailed scheduling, demand management, and purchasing.
Experience with inventory management.
Must be able to utilize multiple systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills necessary to develop the tools that enable a fluent production plan.
Extremely organized and the capacity to multitask several priorities.
Superior analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate in writing and in meetings effectively.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills required with the ability to work well with all levels of employees and internal departments in a diverse environment.
Position Expectations Administrative Schedule usage of production materials to ensure optimal production levels Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory, i.

, loose pack, raw materials availability, along with product expiration date checks Work well with a functional areas/departments.
Manage deadlines based on expectations, FG to meet customer demand and schedules.
Manages all planning aspects, demand, work in progress and finished goods.
Plan short term, mid-range and long term schedules.
Utilize MRP techniques in conjunction with DRP.
Develops a balanced schedule across two shifts and multiple lines of varying production.
Works closely with Inventory Control, Purchasing and expediting to develop an optimal plan to meet customer needs.
Develop daily schedule and communicates issues timely with alternative solutions.
Participates and leads daily scheduling meeting.
Lead daily Production planning meetings reviewing 72 hours out in terms of production plan discussing product availability, product demand for builds, etc.
Prepares and distributes production schedules daily.
Work with other planning team members ensuring daily communications are timely, informative and accurate.
Ensure that follow up on customer requests via email, phone calls, and conference calls are acted and responded to same business day.
Food Safety & Quality Follow food/safety SOPs and AIB standards Must have experience and be knowledgeable about Food Safety or willing to receive training in Food Safety.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
