Support the distribution and customer packaging quality and food safety programs and initiatives by monitoring, analyzing and enhancing the effectiveness of the overall quality process.

Position Competency Experience dealing with quality audits, and documentation.
An overall understanding of AIB standards, food defense and food safety requirements.
Attention to detail, from date coding, expiration dates, production dates, overall finished good presentation, documentation, etc.
Must have a working knowledge and background in Food Safety and Quality.
Position ExpectationsQuality Conduct process audits focusing on production, expiration dates, production dates, quality of product being produced, accuracy, weight capturing (kick out line - 2% or less), etc Understand customer requirements specific to quality and food safety.
Identify best practices in established processes (industry, internal, etc).
Work with management team members to implement.
Ensure that processes are consistent on all production lines.
Responsible for ensuring food products meet standards set by the company, customers and regulatory authorities.
Ensure product PPM's are performed at minimum one business day prior to production of the actual production run.
Develop and update policies and SOP's to reflect consistency and alignment.
Develops / trains / audits traceability/recall plans and procedures (2x per year).
Perform mock recalls for all customers designated by management.
Ensure that assigned quality leads are trained on job processes, quality forms to be used, audits to be conducted, etc.
Document training for all quality leads.
Review, analyze and report weekly on all internal quality standards related to all production processes, from, kick off line (weight tolerance Cube line), shoppable packaging lines, PPW line (ensuring proper product placement and quantity, date coding and placement on finished good, etc Address any quality production concerns that may arise during production with the Warehouse and Transportation Manager and the Production Supervisor.
Audits Ensure that quality audits are being performed by quality leads on all production lines following established guidelines.
Ensure audits are timely and that all documentation is accurate and detailed.
Provide completed PPM's to Frito prior to any production commencing on the production line(s).
Provide follow up on open items documented on completed audits.
Provide updates to local management team on overall quality performance.
Perform random audits monthly on all production lines and verify quality compliance in all areas of production.
Implement procedures to comply with the customers request based on recommend changes or best practice adoption.
Ensure that monthly Facility Audits are completed prior to the 27th of each month.
Ensure completeness of information.
Review Food Safety documentation monthly and ensure completeness and information recorded.
Attend scheduled monthly Food Safety education / training meetings.
Oversee and follow up on any food safety concerns raised to you by the Quality & SQF Practitioner.
Work with the Director of Food Safety & Quality on additional work tasks and projects.
Food Safety & QualityMust have experience and be knowledgeable about Food Safety or willing to receive training in Food Safety.
