This job requires evening hours once per week and reduced hours on Saturdays as needed for design appointments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide excellent customer service Schedule client appointments Assist customers in selecting stones Recommend items for consignment to customer Update Material Hold Log as needed Mark material for hold from customer selections Communicate with Purchaser on a daily basis to maintain optimal inventory levels EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Minimum two years of customer service experience.
Knowledge of countertop or cabinetry preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The position will require the following physical activities on a regular basis:
standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing and handling materials.
Must be able to push or pull up to 150 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Indoors in a temperature-controlled environment, and indoor warehouse.
The typical noise level for this job is above average.
Position requires evening and Saturday work.
