Recruiting Assistant (M-F 8am-5pm)

Job Description Receives and reviews driver applications to determine if applicants are qualified to move forward in the hiring process based on company guidelines and industry regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
oAssigns applications to be processed based on workload.
oReviews applications to ensure company requirements are met.
oOrders consumer background reports.
oVerifies employment history of applicants via website, email, phone, or fax from previous employers, or obtains proof of employment from applicants as required.
oUpdates driver application files.
oEnters follow up comments into computer database.
oEnsures accuracy of application information before sending file for final approval.
oStays abreast on driver recruiting policies and hiring requirements for driver applicants.
oEstablishes and maintains positive working relationships.
oReceives and carries out instructions.
oMaintains regular and predictable attendance.
Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES oCommunicates effectively.
oExhibits ability to read, write, talk, and hear; add, subtract, multiply, and divide; and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds as required.
oUses computers and software programs proficiently.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Recommended Skills Communication Telephone Call Reception Management Databases Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
