Monday-Friday 6:
30am-2:
30pm Candidate MUST have manufacturing/packaging experience!! Leads a secondary packaging team and is responsible for safety, product quality, and line efficiency.
Assembles and embellishes products into shrink packs and pallet displays for our base products.
Performs quality inspections and ensures safety practices are followed in the packaging operation.
Leads line group and responsible for completion of production and quality paperwork.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for promoting a safety culture and awareness within their production area.
Performs hourly Quality checks, while entering the data into a database app.
Documenting production completion clearly and accurately.
Trained in and fully understands Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and can demonstrate competence in practice and documentation.
Responsible for delegating work assignments and training employees on individual line tasks.
Operates line equipment (i.
e.
labelers, case formers, tape machines, shrink bundling equipment and case packers) requiring starting/stopping equipment and clearing jams.
Must read, understand, and explain Bill of Materials, work instructions and pallet patterns to individual line workers.
Determines necessary materials needed to build packs/displays:
cases, trays dividers, shrink film, and other corrugated materials.
Line lead will communicate demand requirement to material handlers for replenishment without production disruption.
Ability to use computer equipment to scan materials, line workers, and printing ID tags.
Meet Safety, Quality, and production expectations outlined by Management.
Communicating to the supervisors any issues that prohibit these goals from being met.
At the end of each production run, ensure line is clear of all materials.
Maintain work area in a neat and organized fashion corresponding with good manufacturing practices and report any unsafe conditions.
Follow all appropriate safety procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Follows current work instructions and adheres to Quality Control Plan and related SOPs.
