Secondary Job Functions / Responsibilities & Requirements Maintain and repair production thermoforming equipment.
Maintain and repair plant systems.
Maintain and repair other facility equipment/systems as required.
Complete planned maintenance on thermoforming machines, plant systems and other facility equipment/systems in accordance with published schedules and procedures.
React to emergent maintenance/repair situations.
Read/understand mechanical and electrical manuals, drawings and schematics.
Work with production employees and set-up technicians to identify and correct problems.
Disassemble, clean, inspect, lubricate and reassemble equipment.
Use test equipment to analyze electrical/electronic systems.
Work with managers and supervisors to plan/schedule maintenance or repair activities.
Determine faulty conditions by observing/operating equipment.
Maintain required documentation.
Interacts with other technicians, hourly personnel, supervisors, engineers, and managers.
Perform other duties as deemed necessary by management.
Hands-on responsibility in installing and maintaining production machines and the plant facilities equipment.
Perform regular preventive maintenance and inspections on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Meet all OSHA regulations to include relations such as lock out - tag out procedures.
Ability to identify and diagnose faults in electrical systems and ancillary equipment.
Replace defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring Assist with parts, material storage, and inventory Other general maintenance, housekeeping, plumbing, and electrical duties as required Any and all other duties assigned by management Qualifications Prefer a two-year technical degree, but work experience considered as substitute.
Maintenance experience required.
Certifications/certificates a plus.
Written and oral English communication skills are required.
Mechanical systems (to include pneumatic and hydraulic) troubleshooting /repair skills necessary.
Electronic troubleshooting/repair skills a plus.
Must be capable of working in a collaborative/team environment.
Experience in use of hand tools, jacks, hoists and other tools for repair/maintenance actions.
Knowledge of related computer applications (Microsoft Office) Knowledge of the following trades:
small appliance repair, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers.
Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and schematics as required.
Must be able to read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of equipment The ability to use a variety of power tools, hand tools, measuring and testing instruments, and meters safely Ability to work independently and also in a team-oriented environment Comply with all policies, safety guidelines, and procedures; follow all contract specifications and maintain compliance Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures Must be available to work day or evening shift, including some weekends.
